Joshua Ledet on His American Idol Performances: “I Was Holding Back a Lot”
American IdolSeason 11 third placer Joshua Ledet promises he’ll be amping up his stage presence a lot from what we’ve seen of him on the show.
Speaking to TV Line’s Michael Slezak for Idology, Joshua explained that as animated as he was during his Season 11 stage stint, there’s a lot to come from him on the Idol Summer Tour.
“If you see me perform from here on out I don’t think it’ll be anything like Idol,” he teased. “I can honestly say on Idol I was holding back a lot... so now that I’m actually free, I’ll probably be doing way more and just go crazy on-stage. So, you might see a different side.”
Joshua admitted he’s used to the church performance scene where anything — including random backflips — can happen on-stage. With Idol, he felt like he let himself be influenced and tamed by others. “I am not scripted. I cannot do what they tell me to do,” he joked.
We can’t wait to see what he comes out with for the Idol Summer Tour!
