Real Housewives of New York

RHONY’s Ramona, Carole, and Sonja Dish on the “Weird Relationship” With LuAnn – Exclusive

The biggest “hulabaloo” so far on The Real Housewives of New York Season 5 occurred on last night’s episode (Season 5, Episode 2: “Say What You Mean, Just Don’t Say It Mean”), when LuAnn de Lesseps and Ramona Singer met on a beautiful park bench in Central Park to exchange snippy insults and accuse one another of lying. So what did the other ladies think of this spat?

Ramona, for her part, told Wetpaint Entertainment that the tension between her and LuAnn has a long history. “You know what, LuAnn and I, since Season 1, have always had this weird relationship,” she said. But it sounds like Ramona is open to compromise. She told us, “I want to accept her, the good, the bad, and the ugly.”

Ramona’s BFF Sonja Morgan told us, “That was the same old thing from last year, with Ramona. I broke that up [at my townhouse party in the Season 5 premiere], then Ramona got busy with new drama.” Sonja is referring to the three ladies who are from upstate New York: herself, Ramona, and now Heather Thomson. So we’ll keep an eye out for that Bermuda triangle ahead.

As for Carole Radziwill, the laid-back new castmate told us she was prepared for Ramona’s drama before the cameras even started rolling. “I watched some of the show and I thought, [Ramona] seems crazy. I really was nervous about meeting her and doing scenes with her.” At the end of the day, Carole didn’t pick a side between Ramona and LuAnn, but she did say that Ramona is “like a character, and I’m a writer.” So maybe Carole will choose Team Ramona for novel inspiration?

Don’t forget to vote in our poll and tell us if you’re on Team LuAnn or Team Ramona!
