The evening that her final episode aired, Taryn took to Twitter to stand up for her choice to leave. “Everything happens for a reason ppl. I hear some say I "gave up" absolutely not i don't quit i make decisions that are right for the timing,” she wrote.
She continued, “I'd never stop entertaining or doing music, if i do, then you can be correct in saying I "gave up". Everything happens for a reason.”
So was Taryn’s reason for leaving mainly that she missed her friends and family back home in Detroit, as it appeared to fans watching the show on Tuesday night?
Sort of, but Taryn revealed on Twitter Wednesday evening that there was actually a bit more to the story. “I has to leave tgp to better focus i had two deaths in my family,” she tweeted. “I was very stressed.”
“Yes I had lost my grandma to Cancer and my younger cousin in a fatal car crash the night of my grams funeral,” she continued.
Talk about a tough situation! For many contestants, simply adjusting to their new life of almost 24-7 cameras and the stress of intense Glee auditions can seem like a lot. We can’t imagine having to go through all of that with the devastating heartbreaking of two loved ones weighing on you, as well.
Thankfully, even with her time on the show now over, Taryn doesn’t seem anywhere near to giving up on her dreams of performing. “I had to leave, didn't wanna stay without the right focus that wouldn't be good for me but im still going for my goals,” she tweeted later that night. We’re glad to hear she’s keeping at it.
