Revenge’s Madeleine Stowe: I Don’t Ever Think About Victoria Grayson’s Future

After being nominated for a Golden Globe early into Revenge’s first season, actress Madeleine Stowe may already be a top contender for the Emmys this fall.

The nominations don’t come out until July 19, but Entertainment Weekly spoke with the 53-year-old who plays Victoria Grayson about her potential for this year’s awards.

“It’s not a familiar world for me,” Madeleine admitted.

But if she were to be chosen, the actress does have a particular clip she’d like to submit.

“Really, what I liked, if there is a single moment, it’s the particular scene in the finale that is entirely silent,” she said. “It was really kind of spectacular for tying in the entire story.”

Madeleine’s already said that when the finale was filmed, the creators didn’t know whether or not the show would be picked up for a second season, so she still doesn’t know the fate of her character.

“If the show wasn’t going to be picked up, it was a spectacular way to end that story, with no resolution whatsoever for anybody, the idea that revenge just brings terrible things to people,” Madeleine said.

But Revenge was picked up for a second season, and now we can’t imagine life without Victoria Grayson!

“I don’t have any wish lists,” Madeleine said. “I don’t ever think about it. I feel a very deep satisfaction over the way it was concluded, and all that went into supporting the theme of what happens to this young woman, in all of her damage and all of her hurt.”

The 64th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards will air live on September 23 on ABC.
