Adam Levine and Blake Shelton Fighting to Keep The Voice to One Season a Year
Though we love having just a few short months between season of The Voice, it definitely makes things tough on the show’s four celebrity judges.
And it seems bromance buddies Adam Levine and Blake Shelton are doing everything in their power to revert the show back to its once-a-year ways.
“I’m hoping that we can gripe and whine around about it enough so that they won’t do that after this year and they’ll just keep it one season a year,” Blake told CMT Radio. “I also don’t think they give a crap what we have to say, but we’ve definitely been vocal about it.”
Blake and Adam are both in the middle of touring and recording new music. Blake’s working on two new albums (one’s a Christmas album!), and Adam is getting ready for the June 26 release of Maroon 5’s latest record, Overexposed.
“The Voice is fun, but still at heart I’m a touring, recording, inbred, hillbilly country artist,” Blake joked. “That’s what I want to do.”
We hope the show can work out some sort of compromise because we can’t imagine The Voice without Blake, Adam, Xtina, or Cee Lo.
What do you think? Should The Voice air more than once a year?
