Will Kris Humphries’ Lawyers Use Kim Kardashian’s Oprah Interview Against Her in Court?
Kim Kardashian might have revealed too much during her interview with Oprah Winfrey for Sunday’s Oprah’s Next Chapter.
Although she seemed careful to never outright say her soon-to-ex hubby Kris Humphries’ name, the NBA star’s lawyers will use Kim’s chat with Oprah against her in divorce court, claims Radar Online.
When asked by Oprah if Kim had any doubts about her marriage to Kris, Kim responded, "I didn't have an inkling, but everyone around me did. The night before, my mom said, 'Do you want out?' She said, 'You're not yourself.' But I said, mom, no, I got angry, I was thinking, ’How dare you!’”
Kris’ team apparently thinks the comment helps prove that the marriage was a publicity stunt, as the New Jersey Net has claimed.
"This goes to the heart of Kris' claim against Kim, that the marriage was fraudulent and that he was duped into marrying her," a source told Radar Online. "Kris' lawyers will grill Kim about the specifics of her conversation with her mother on the eve of her wedding... There is a lot more going on to this than the public knows, and Kris wants answers. Kris was left in the dark, and it was very hurtful for him to hear that Kim was bored with him."
While Kim went on to say she “loved” the NBA star, Kris’ lawyers don’t seem to be buyin’ it.
Radar’s source added, "Kim has no idea how much she has helped her estranged hubby's lawyers prepare for her upcoming deposition.”
