Troubled American Idol Contestant Jermaine Jones Back in Court

Former American Idol Season 11 contestant Jermaine Jones found himself back in court Tuesday on charges of contempt of court and failure to appear at previous hearings.

A local source reports that despite being in hot water already, Jermaine showed up to his Tuesday hearing in Gloucester Township, New Jersey an hour and a half late.

You might remember Jermaine’s brief stint on Idol for his surprise disqualification from the Top 12. After advancing to the Top 13, Jermaine was booted on March 13 when execs discovered information about his previous brushes with the authorities — including active and outstanding warrants for his arrest.

His legal woes are not done just yet. The hearing reportedly did not conclude with any final judgments. According to presiding judge Nicholas Trabosh, all of the singer’s charges will be dealt with in the next 30 days.

Jermaine’s still hopeful about his musical future and is scheduled to perform in Philadelphia this weekend.
