Pretty Little Liars

Breaking Down the Previews for Pretty Little Liars Season 3, Episode 4: “Birds of a Feather”

There’s a lot to look forward to in next week’s Pretty Little Liars Season 3, Episode 4: “Birds of a Feather” (airing June 26). We took a closer look at both previews for the episode, and spotted a ton of good teasers. Let’s break them down.

Hastings sisters showdown. Melissa (Torrey DeVitto) greets Spencer (Troian Bellisario) in their kitchen holding a knife. Scary, much? As if that isn’t enough to freak you out, there’s a shot of Spencer running after Melissa, who is bent over, crying. Looks like someone just got majorly busted. In the Canadian preview, Spencer asks, “Why would my sister want to torture us?”

Someone taunts Ezria. Ezria look all happy and cute, walking around in town as a public couple, but then they see a car stopped in the street, flashing its headlights at them. Who could that be? It definitely doesn’t look like Jenna’s (Tammin Sursok) car.

Aria, Emily, and Hanna spy on Melissa. Hanna (Ashley Benson) says, “That was close,” and Emily (Shay Mitchell) concurs, “Way too close.” It looks like they’re spying on Melissa as she takes a look through someone’s closet (Spencer’s? Melissa’s?). Aria (Lucy Hale) says, “She knows that we have the video that puts her in Ali’s room the night that she was murdered.”

Melissa’s feathers are showing. The girls find an empty clothing bag in the same closet, and look surprised to find it empty. We see two blue-ish feathers in the next frame, as Hanna tells Spencer, “Melissa’s ‘A’.” Could it be that they found Melissa’s dry-cleaning bag that used to hold the Black Swan costume?

As we suspected, Jason is offering a $50,000 reward for anyone with information on Alison’s (Sasha Pieterse) remains.

Melissa was at the masquerade ball! We see Spencer asking her sister, “Why were you at the masquerade ball?” and then Mrs. Hastings coming out of nowhere to say, “I’d like to know the answer to that myself.” Eek!

Haleb is in trouble. It looks like someone on the “A” team sends Hanna a text about Caleb (Tyler Blackburn), because after Hanna looks away from her phone, she asks him, “Are you breaking up with me?” Caleb looks disappointed, but also a little surprised. What did “A” do now?

Wren and Detective Wilden? We see a brief glimpse of our old frenemy Detective Wilden (Bryce Johnson) in either Garrett’s (Yani Gellman) jail or more likely, Radley Sanitarium, and he’s handing Wren (Julian Morris) something surreptitiously. Why are these two suddenly working together?

Catch an all-new episode of PLL on Tuesday, June 26 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC Family.
