Baby Blue Ivy Carter Is Now an Honorary Croatian Citizen
And now for further proof that 5-month-old Blue Ivy is poised to take over the world...
Us Weekly reports that the privileged offspring of superstar parents Jay-Z and Beyonce is now an honorary citizen of Croatia. Jay and a pregnant Bey spent some time on the Croatian island of Hvar last summer, where they came across some real-life blue ivy on the isle’s trees. Hvar tourism has increased, reportedly as a result of a clip Beyonce posted this spring showcasing the touching provenance of their child’s name.
"The story of the origin of the name of your daughter has brought enormous media attention and therefore tourist promotion to the town and island of Hvar," Major Pjerino Bebic wrote to the couple. "Because of this, I have decided to confer on your daughter the status of honourary citizen of the town of Hvar."
Just another day in the life of Blue Ivy. Next week: French citizenship, peut-etre?
