But don’t expect this tattooed rocker to take his increase in fame modestly.
"I have a high self-opinion — I don't need to hide that,” Adam told USA Today. “I don't need to be self-deprecating. I do believe that I deserve what I have. I don't think I'm entitled to it. That's a big difference."
But Adam’s always known that he needed to have a career that would bring in the big bucks, mostly to maintain his lifestyle.
"My mom told me a long time ago, 'All I know is, you'll never change, so you'd better get somebody to take care of your room and get a housekeeper,'” Adam admitted. “That was burned into my skull: 'Must make money so I don't have to do my chores, because I wouldn't do them anyway.' It's sweet that I don't have to do my laundry."
And with Adam’s recent successes, he can afford plenty of housekeepers. The singer has taken a turn toward acting following his work on the first two seasons of The Voice.
