Hunger Games Casting Update: Yet Another Stud in the Running for the Role of Finnick Odair

Jennifer Lawrence is amid an unending swirl of casting rumors around her already highly anticipated Hunger Games follow up Catching Fire, which isn't even slated for release until the end of 2013! Aside from the fight to play tribute Johanna, currently being duked out by Jena Malone and Mia Wasikowska among others, there's the famed race to play charismatic and headstrong Finnick Odair, and when we last heard the role was being tossed around by Armie Hammer, Garrett Hedlund, and Taylor Kitsch. But could another blond hottie swoop in and take the prize?

Turns out, Weeds star Hunter Parrish (just off his run on Broadway's excellent Godspell) was up for the role of Peeta in the first film, and would "love to" be considered for the sequel. "I've been through this once before," he told MTV News, referring to the casting process for the first installment. "It was very exciting for me [to be considered] for the first movie, to be a part of that, and I read all of the books at that time, and I loved the script and the director and Jennifer Lawrence who was cast at that point."

Could the Weeds heartthrob be the dark horse to play Finnick? Or do you still have your heart set on one of the other boys?
