Pretty Little Liars Season 3 Summer Finale Title Revealed! What Does It Tell Us?

Now that we’re getting some really fascinating details about the summer finale of Pretty Little Liars, fans have been asking showrunner Marlene King all kinds of questions about the remaining eight episodes of Season 3’s first half.

In the latest round, a fan asked Marlene on Twitter, “Can you share the name of episode 312?”

Marlene tweeted back, “THE LADY KILLER.”

Our first thought was that we’ll learn who killed Maya (Bianca Lawson) in this episode, Maya being more of a lady than Alison (Sasha Pieterse), who most of Rosewood wouldn’t exactly consider Miss Congeniality.

Also, as with most PLL episode titles, there is a deeper meaning to this title. The Ladykillers was a 1955 dark comedy starring British comic actor Alec Guinness. The movie was about an old lady who lets a gang of criminals stay under her roof as they plan a mass robbery. She unknowingly stumbles across their plan, so the gang decides they need to kill her. But they make too many sloppy mistakes, and wind up killing each other off, so in the end, she’s the only one left standing.

Just a theory, but what if Maya stumbled across the “A” team and their plans, leading the team to kill her for being a witness?

We’ll have to wait until August to find out!

Catch an all-new episode of PLL on Tuesday, July 10 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC Family.
