Real Housewives of New York

Aviva Drescher’s War With Ex-Husband Gets Ugly: Screaming Match at Grocery Store

Real Housewives of New York must have taught Aviva Drescher how to show her claws!

The newbie Housewife reportedly got into a public war of words with ex-husband Harry Dubin at a gourmet grocery store in the Hamptons. Aviva claims that Harry owes her over $350,000 in child support for their son, Harrison, who lives with Aviva and her current husband Reid Drescher.

According to the New york Post, Aviva allegedly “yelled” at Harry when she saw him buying a platter of gourmet sandwiches at the Golden Pear, an upscale food store. “How dare you buy sandwiches at the Golden Pear and not pay your child support,” Aviva said. Harry responded that he was merely picking up the food, not paying for it. (In case you are wondering, the Post notes that it was “four wraps and four paninis.”)

“I’m heartbroken that you’re not taking any responsibility [for your child],’’ Aviva told Harry, to which he reportedly snapped “Good.” Yikes!

Aviva claimed on RHONY that she has a good relationship with Harry, who previously romanced her fellow castmates Sonja Morgan and Luann de Lesseps. However, the reality star recently went public with her child support battle with Harry, claiming that he owed her a ton of money and that their son doesn’t have health insurance because of her ex.

What’s more, Aviva hinted in a recent interview with Examiner that Reid acts more like a father to Harry’s son than her ex does.

“He is really the father to my son Harrison, Harry’s child,” Aviva said. “Reid gives so much to Harrison in every way simple things like taking him to the dentists, to school, and teaching him from right and wrong. He’s like Harrison’s father in many ways and the father of the other three children that we have.”

It sounds like this battle is just getting started. Aviva’s lawyer told the New York Post that they plan to pursue the child support claim in court, which means that a big, juicy court battle may be on the horizon.

Is it bad all of this just makes us fall more in love with Reid? You have to love a guy who supports his children, even if they aren’t his biological offspring.

The Real Housewives of New York airs Mondays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo.
