Camille Grammer Tells Bethenny Frankel About Her Divorce From Kelsey Grammer
On June 29, Camille Grammer opened up about her divorce from Kelsey Grammer on Bethenny Frankel’s new talk show, Bethenny. The blonde reality star told TheReal Housewives of New York alum that there are “other ways to” get a divorce besides “[putting] your wife on a reality show and then dump[ing] her while she’s on it.”
Fans of the Bravo show watched as Camille found out about Kelsey’s affair while taping Season 1 of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. However, the blonde star says being on the show actually helped her heal. “Listen, I got to be on Housewives which is such an amazing thing, and I had such a great experience with Housewives, so it was good to have that distraction while I was going through the divorce,” she said.
As for how Kelsey broke the news to her, Camille explained that he told her he’d “moved on” and “no longer wanted to be married” but didn’t confess to being involved with Kayte Walsh, his new wife. Since she didn’t know all the facts, Camille tried to suggest therapy but Kelsey refused. Camille also claims Kelsey wouldn’t help her tell the kids about the divorce.
Looking back, Camille says it’s hard to pin down what she might have done differently, but she admits the couple could have used more date nights. Over all, though, she was blindsided by the sudden separation and Kelsey’s remarriage. “I thought that we had a really solid relationship, so I really didn’t see it coming,” she said.
