A bit of context: Throughout the episode, Carole was waiting for a phone call from her writing partner. They had submitted a script for a TV pilot based on her unpublished novel The Widow’s Guide to Sex and Dating, and Carole received great news about the project while the ladies were shopping at Curve.
When Carole came back inside, she announced her good news to Aviva Drescher and Heather Thomson, while Ramona was busy somewhere in the store. But Ramona popped up out of nowhere (as Heather hilariously pointed out) to quickly congratulate Carole and cover her with kisses.
But just as the news was sinking in, Ramona had her own good news to announce: She’d reached a deal with Target to carry her Ramona Pinot Grigio in stores. That’s when Carole’s one-liner came into play.
Do you agree with Heather, who said that Ramona just couldn’t stand not being in the spotlight? Or do you side with Ramona, who wrote on her blog that she thought it was an excellent time to announce her Target news?
