Pretty Little Liars Spoiler: Are Jenna and Mona Working Together?

One question that is surely on every Pretty Little Liars fan's mind is, "Are Jenna (Tammin Sursok) and Mona (Janel Parrish) working together?" After all, despite her insistence that she's innocent, Jenna clearly has an agenda of some sort, and it seemed like she and Mona were somehow linked during the masquerade ball during the Season 2 Finale.

Is it possible Jenna is part of the "A" team — or even calling the shots? Showrunner Marlene King recently tweeted something that seems like it might be a clue.

Recently, a fan asked Marlene on Twitter: "S2 Finale: "You know what you have to do"--Jenna "I did everything you asked me to"--Mona COINCIDENCE OR....?"

Obviously, this is a reference to two notable pieces of dialogue from the finale. The first is Jenna's instructions to the person she mysteriously met with in the park. That conversation seemed to be about the masquerade ball. Many people suspected she was talking to the Black Swan, but that doesn't make sense anymore, at least if you believe Melissa's (Torrey DeVitto) story about being blackmailed.

The second piece of dialogue is obviously what Mona said to the the figure in red who visited her at the end of the episode. So the question is: Was Jenna giving instructions to Mona (and then visiting her in a blonde wig), or was this similarity in dialogue just a coincidence?

Marlene King replied, "There are no coincidences in Rosewood."

Whoa. That seems to suggest the writers were well aware of the parallel in the dialogue. Does that mean Jenna was the one telling Mona what to do, making her a strong suspect to be the new "A"? Possibly. It certainly seems that way on first glance.

Of course, it's also possible that Marlene just meant the writers were aware of the parallel and put it in there for thematic or other reasons, without literally meaning that Jenna and Mona's questions were part of the same conversation.
