Farrah Abraham’s Revealing Book Excerpt: “I Tried To Calm Down, But My Mind Was Racing”
Stop everything — Farrah Abraham's highly anticipated memoir, My Teenage Dream Ended, is coming to a store near you!
Farrah's book is a tell-all about her life, and it will cover some issues that weren't highlighted during her stint on 16 and Pregnant or Teen Mom –– like her baby daddy Derek Underwood's tragic death.
Derek passed away on December 28, 2009 (just two months before Baby Sophia was born) when he and his friends lost control of their car and it ran into a power pole. Tragically, Derek and his friends were drinking before the accident, and the police revealed that their car illegally passed someone on the road and hit a patch of black ice.
Farrah's reaction to Derek's death wasn't captured by MTV's cameras, but she shares her thoughts in her new book.
“I got off the phone and I tried to calm down, but my mind was racing," Farrah writes.
"Derek was the father of the baby I was carrying inside me. He was my first love, my only true love. We hadn’t spoken in more than two months, but crazily I had still hoped we had a future together — me, him, and our baby, as one happy family. It’s every teenage girl’s dream, isn’t it? You meet a boy, you fall in love, and then one day you have a family and grow old together, happily ever after.”
