Carole is the widow of Anthony Radziwill, the only son of Prince Stanislas Radziwill of Poland, so that technically makes her a princess. Alex thinks that the RHONY producers were “doing back flips” over Carole’s title and might’ve made her place as a full castmate on the show contingent upon her talking about her title alongside fellow title-holder Countess LuAnn de Lesseps!
“Over the last four years of the Housewives of New York City, there’ve been lots of people who have titles that they’ve tried to get on the show. Some of them are our friends, and the conversation typically goes like this: ‘Oh you have a title? Will you come on the show? Will you talk about it?’ And that person says ‘No, we don’t talk about titles. You don’t use a title in the United States. Titles are silly.’ And the producers say, ‘Oh, so you won’t talk about it with LuAnn? Oh, okay, goodbye,’” she explained. With Carole, “they’ve finally found a Housewife who was willing to go there probably because she is a full cast-member.”
“I wouldn’t be surprised if it was contingent upon her being cast,” Alex added.
Carole’spreviously spoken up about her title, saying that she doesn’t particularly care about it and that it doesn’t define her, but she indeed did talk about, as per what Alex McCord thinks is the agreement between her and show execs. Juicy, right?
Alex also had some thoughts on the moment when LuAnn took acupuncture on the show and wondered whether such a treatment could be effective when there is an entire camera crew in the room for it.
The Real Housewives of New York airs Mondays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo.
