American Idol

Report: Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry, and More Being Considered for American Idol Judges

Adam Lambert isn’t the only one who is reportedly up for the potentially vacant judging spot on#mce_temp_url# Season 12 of American Idol. According to E! Online, producers are considering Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj, Fergie, Katy Perry, and Will.I.Am as possibilites, if Jennifer Lopez decides to leave the show after two seasons as has been speculated.

“Feelers” are reportedly being put out to these individuals and meetings are being scheduled to discuss whether they’d be a good match for a revamped Idol.

Least likely to accept could be Katy Perry, who just last week told The Hollywood Reporter, “People have reached out to me about the possibility of being involved and I think that it’s not for me right now.”

As for the rest, though, it’s a well-known fact that Fox intends to give Idol’s ratings a boost through “creative reinvigoration” of the show. The names mentioned so far would certainly offer a younger perspective.

E! Online confirmed that producers still hope to see Jennifer return, but speculation indicates that she’s not going to. The futures of Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler are also uncertain, with sources indicating that while they are beloved by producers, the showrunners are looking for some fresh faces on the panel.

Which of these artists do you think should become the next American Idol judges?
