"Pauly D has new security," an insider confirms to Wetpaint Entertainment. “Big” Jerry Gialanella, who was Pauly's longtime security, close friend, and was never far from Pauly's side, is now wearing a new hat. "Jerry's more of operations...but yes he's doing (his own) appearances," an insider confirms. The change follows the first big shakeup in which Pauly longtime friend and co-star Mike “Biggie” Morgan left his post as Pauly's road manager. Questions about Jerry's status arose after it became obvious he would not be traveling with the in-demand DJ during his first weekend of gigs post-Jersey ShoreSeason 6 filming. While our source confirms Jerry is “still on with Pauly” and employed by Blowout Enterprises, The Pauly D Project has afforded him his own limelight. So while Pauly is spinning in Dallas this Friday and Chicago on Saturday, Jerry will be making two separate appearances on the East Coast. Jerry will host a gig at New Age Nightclub in Hartford, Connecticut on Friday where Biggie will spin and Dash will perform live. The following night Jerry and the rest of The Pauly D Project guys, with the exception of Pauly, will appear at The Pool After Dark at Harrah's in Atlantic City for what's being dubbed “The Pauly D Project Takeover.” Yes, that's the same nightclub Pauly D currently holds one of his two DJ residencies.
So what's this all mean for The Pauly D Project Season 2? An MTV spokesperson confirms "no decision has been made yet on a second season" of The Pauly D Project.
The first season of the Jersey Shore spin-off was based on Pauly traveling with his hometown crew from Rhode Island — Biggie, Jerry, and Ryan Labbe — as he tried to become a world-class deejay. But with Biggie no longer working or traveling with Pauly, Jerry not acting as security, and Ryan living in Las Vegas, it would seem there will be some major changes if the network picks the show back up.
