Andrew Garfield “Can’t Stand” Robert Pattinson: Rumor
They may both hail from England, star in mega summer blockbusters, and have stunning Hollywood girlfriends, but don’t start comparing The Amazing Spider-Man star Andrew Garfield to Twilight’s leading man, Robert Pattinson, anytime soon.
The two men, who also happen to be only two years apart in age, reportedly hate being compared to each other and definitely aren’t looking to bond over their many similarities.
“The truth is, Andrew can’t stand Rob,” a source told Us Weekly. “Andrew hates that they’re put in the same category because they’re both English and around the same age.”
At the recent wedding of producer Kevin Turen, the guys reportedly spent the night avoiding each other.
“They don’t enjoy hanging out,” the insider said. “Andrew considers himself a ‘serious actor’ and sees Rob as the equivalent of a cheesy boy bander because of Twilight.”
"Both like intense parts and go after the same roles," another insider said of the actors’ feuds. "They're just naturally competitive.”
Perhaps these dudes should just channel their Hollywood alter egos and duke it out superhero style. After all, who wouldn’t want to witness a Spidey-Edward spat?
