Magic Mike 2? Channing Tatum Confirms He’s Planning a Stripper Sequel
If you rushed out to see Magic Mike last month and have already found yourself missing those writhing stripper abs and elaborate half-naked dances, don’t fret: The movie’s main man, Channing Tatum, recently confirmed to Glamour U.K. that a second film is already in the works.
And yes, you heard that right: Magic Mike 2 may actually be happening.
“Yes, yes, and yes!” Channing told the British mag regarding the possibility of asequel. “We’re working on the concept now. We want to flip the script and make it bigger.”
According to Channing’s co-star, Joe Manganiello, going “bigger” might just mean going back in time.
“We’re actually talking about the possibility of doing the prequel,” Joe told Hollywood.com last month. “Because if you do the sequel, then you lose Mike. Otherwise, what’s Mike going to do? He’s going to come back for one big heist...so, you would do the prequel — how they got there.”
Developing a prequel might just mean that Adam, the strip club’s newbie played by Alex Pettyfer, won’t make it into a second film — potentially just what Channing Tatum was hoping for given the duo’s “massive” on-set feuds!
