Pretty Little Liars

Breaking Down the Pretty Little Liars Season 3, Episode 6 Preview: “Remains of the ‘A’” (VIDEO)

There are a few eye-catching images in the preview for Pretty Little Liars Season 3, Episode 6: “The Remains of the ‘A’” (airing July 17), so we’re going to go through them in detail and figure out what we can expect next week.

Aria finds a huge stash of cash. Aria (Lucy Hale), with her pink, polished nails, comes across a huge wad of money wrapped in plastic. Most of it looks like it’s made up of $50 and $100 bills. Where does Aria find this small fortune, and who’s giving it to who? Could it be related to the $50,000 check Jason (Drew Van Acker) wrote to someone who claimed to have news on Alison’s (Sasha Pieterse) grave robbery “that night”?

Spencer sneaks around the hospital. Based on this preview, we think Spencer (Troian Bellisario) might be sneaking into Garrett’s (Yani Gellman) mom’s room to replace Garrett’s note about April Rose with a new one that Hanna (Ashley Benson) scrawls. This is the beginning of the “trap” they’re setting for “A.”

Who’s that man talking to Hanna? We’ve seen previews where Hanna is trying to hide in the church, where she tells “A” to meet her. We assumed the shadowy figures were signs of “A,” but in this preview, we see that the figure is a tall man wearing formal wear. Could this be the same guy that flirted with Ashley Marin (Laura Leighton) in Season 3, Episode 5: “That Girl is Poison”?

Spencer has a crying fit. We still don’t know why, but Spencer will collapse on her bedroom floor in tears. Something to do with all that money, perhaps? Or it might be related to Mr. Hastings, who we saw spying on her and Jason in this sneak peek.

Hanna rushes for a hospital elevator. This could be part of Spencer and Hanna’s plan (mentioned above) to replace Garrett’s April Rose note with one of their own making.
