John Francis Daley to Rewrite Film Adaptation of Secret Histories

We've had a huge crush on Bones's John Francis Daley (Sweets) since his days on Freaks and Geeks (sigh, memories!), but our obsession tripled after we learned that he's a "wordsmith" — that's our new favorite term for screenwriter, by the way.

John co-wrote Horrible Bosses with Jonathan Goldstein, and now The Hollywood Reporter says they're rewriting Secret Histories, based on the books by Ari Berk. The series is about a super-nerd who goes on an adventure to save the world with a bunch of mythical beings, and oh –– he happens to be a half faerie. Expect the flick to be a live-action/CG hybrid, similar to Avatar but without the tail-on-tail sex scenes, sadly.

The original script for Secret Histories was written by Tom Wheeler, but we have no doubt that Sweets (er, John Francis) will put a spectacular finishing touch on the project. Can't wait to geek out when this movie hits theaters!
