Now that Snooki is engaged and pregnant, all eyes are on JWOWW and her long-term boyfriend Roger Mathews, who fans are getting to know in a whole new way on Snooki & JWOWW. Are they planning to join Snooki and Jionni LaValle in domestic bliss?
Wetpaint Entertainment had a chance to chat with JWOWW and Roger at the Inked magazine August release party at Kiss & Fly in New York City on July 17. They opened up about their potential future, what it's like to watch themselves on camera, and more.
Wetpaint Entertainment: How is Snooki holding up with her pregnancy?
JWOWW: She kicks ass. She really set the bar for all of us when it comes to pregnancy because she still wears the high heels, does her hair and makeup. She's still amazing.
Is there a baby in the future for you?
JWOWW: Hopefully, we're just not there.
Roger: We want to do it in the right progressive order.
You've said you'd consider marrying each other. Is that in the cards?
JWOWW: I'd personally like to get engaged, married, experience that life, and then kids.
Is there a specific age you'd like to have kids by?
JWOWW: Around 30. Three years.
That's doable, right?
JWOWW: [To Roger] See? That's acceptable.
JWOWW, you recently revealed your new tattoo to the world. Are there more on the way?
Yes! I don't know what, but I am thinking about putting Lorenzo's initials, if that's — you know, I hope [Nicole]'s having a boy, we think she's having a boy, and I hope that's going to be on the birth certificate. So whenever Nicole puts his name on the birth certificate, I'm going to put him on my body somewhere. Because he's my godson. I'm only going to have one, so I gotta make it count.
Do you think there's a Season 2 of Snooki & JWOWW in the future?
JWOWW: I hope so, yeah.
Can you make it work even with a baby in the picture?
JWOWW: Yeah. Real life! That's the best part about it.
We could watch you in your role as godmother...
JWOWW: Yeah! Fighting with Roger the whole way... [laughs]
Roger, are you more used to the cameras after doing Snooki & JWOWW?
Roger: Am I more used to it? Absolutely. I don't know that I'll ever be completely comfortable with it. But yeah, I'm definitely more used to it.
Do you watch yourself?
Roger: I do. Only with Jenni.
JWOWW: He laughs at himself.
Roger: It's still surreal. It's just weird to see yourself on TV. We only watch it together. I don't watch it out with friends.
JWOWW: I end up like, blushing and running away. Last week when I saw the upcoming commercial and he's talking to my father, I had to run out of the room I was so embarrassed. It's still embarrassing! Because it's real, and it's like, oh my god, what is my dad going to say?
Roger: You forget some of the things you said, you know?
JWOWW: Yeah, and then it comes popping up a couple months later.
Is there anything either of you regret, looking back, either on Jersey Shore or Snooki & JWOWW?
JWOWW: Oh no. I'll never regret anything because that's how I felt at the time. The only thing I can do is apologize and move forward. That's like with all of [Roger and my] fights. We have to relive them, and we just kind of look at each other and just know we're over it, it's a different time in our life. At the time, we were pissed off at each other. Just deal with it.
Speaking of your fighting, you two seem so happy now. Do you think the cameras added to the fighting, or helped cause it?
JWOWW: No. [Laughs]
Roger: No. I mean, our real life is exactly what you see, it really is. It's every day. I don't hold back anymore. I think I used to a little bit. I'm me, it doesn't matter if the camera is there or not, and I think Jenni is always her.
Check back later for the second part of our interview with JWOWW, where she dishes on Jersey Shore Season 6.
Catch the next episode of Snooki & JWOWW on Thursday, July 19 on MTV.
