The Glee Project Review: What Did You Think of Season 2, Episode 7: “Theatricality”?

Tonight on The Glee Project, not just one, but all of this season’s remaining contenders grew up, got famous, and enjoyed all the perks of being a rock star music celebrity. Well... they did in this week’s music video, at least.

The theme of Season 2, Episode 7 was “Theatricality,” and Glee newbie Grant Gustin (Sebastian) stopped by to serve as this week’s guest mentor. (He was on a nationwide tour of the musical West Side Story at the time he first landed his Glee role, after all.)

The somewhat ironic part of this whole thing is that even though The Glee Project, will cast a new character for Glee Season 4, Grant himself still hasn’t been confirmed to return just yet. Hopefully the show realizes what a fan favorite the dastardly brilliant Sebastian has become. We’d love to see him again next year!

This week’s music video The Pussycat Doll's "When I Grow Up" is one of our favorites so far, with each of the contenders getting to embody a different rock star. Ali stole the show with her brilliantly blue-haired Katy Perry. Shanna wore a totally gross meat dress in her role as Lady Gaga. Nellie donned a blond wig to play sexy pop icon Britney Spears, while Aylin got to wear both a wig and a crazy cone bra for her role as Madonna.

Abraham was pitch-perfect as David Bowie, while Michael made a hilarious Elvis, and Lily a sexy Cyndi Lauper. And we’re not even sure where to begin about Blake as Boy George. Let’s just say if Johnny Depp ever needs a lookalike son for another one of those Pirates of the Carribbean movies, we know who they should call!

What did you think of tonight’s episode as a whole? Did it live up to all your expectations, or are you none too pleased with how everything went down in the end?
