“We've been scared,” Bethenny admitted, referring to her and Jason. “The second year of marriage was not easy. We hit bottom, [but] we came out the other side." Several months ago, the couple was reportedly visiting a divorce attorney, but Bethenny explains that her marital difficulties helped her make a major decision.
"I'm done with putting my personal life and family on reality television,” she tells People. “I went all the way, and I think it may be enough. Enough about me." Bethenny says that she has no plans to continue shooting Bethenny Ever After on Bravo, but wants to completely focus on Bethenny. All signs point to a second season premiering on a national stage in 2013.
We’ll miss Bethenny’s hold-nothing-back approach to reality TV, but we’re happy she’s finally found time to relax. "I'm finally ready to become a housewife," she says. Or, just not someone who plays one on TV.
The Real Housewives of New York airs Mondays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo.
