Justin Bieber Is “Hot, Ready, Legal” on the Cover of Rolling Stone: Too Much?

Justin Bieber’s recent interviews all share a similar theme: He’s no longer a teeny-bopper kid, mmm-kay?

From his declaration of manhood in the June 2012 issue of GQ (“I'm 18 years old, and I'm a swaggy adult”) to his outright demand in V Magazine that he be taken more seriously (“People need to know I’m not a kid anymore”), the Biebs really wants everyone to accept that he’s all groweds up.

His Rolling Stone profile in the August 2, 2012, issue is no exception, and the cover emphasizes this with the cringe-worthy teaser text “Hot Ready Legal.” (Really guys? Ew.)

Inside, the 18-year-old singer says, "I'm definitely more mature. I feel like I carry myself in a more manly way. I don't carry myself as a boy."

As if to highlight this new maturity, he explains (via Us Weekly) how he impresses the ladies: "I make sure to do the little things. Like noticing when they get their hair done, or when they change their nail color. Also saying things all the time — like, 'You're very pretty,' 'You're gorgeous,' things like that."

That’s super “manly” and all, but what’s with his use of “they”? Is Selena Gomez just one of many? The Biebs may be “more mature” these days, but he needs to be careful with his pronouns.

Just sayin’.
