Revenge Gets Snubbed By the 2012 Emmys: 3 Nominations the Show Deserved

The 2012 Emmy Nominations were announced early this morning, and like children running down the stairs to open Santa’s presents, we approached the list with excitement and anticipation.

But we were greeted with giant lumps of coal when it came to Revenge’s utter lack of nominations.

The hit show became the obsession of so many fans that ABC gave it the prime Sunday-night spot left by Desperate Housewives.

Here are the nominations we feel Revenge deserved:

1) Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series: Madeleine Stowe

After taking a major break from acting, the illustrious Madeleine Stowe snagged a Golden Globe nomination for her role as Victoria Grayson at last year’s award show. Though she didn’t win, we’re pleased that she was recognized for being the masterful actress she is.

2) Outstanding Drama Series: Revenge

Those who’ve seen it have instantly become hooked. Revenge is more than just a dramatic soap opera; it shows the deep repercussions of what a life of vengeance brings. The acting and writing are superb, and we don’t think it’s too much to ask for this show to get some credit.

3) Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series: Gabriel Mann

This one was a bit of a long shot, but we’ve been big fans of Mr. Mann since the show began. His hilarious and complex character is the perfect sidekick for Emily Thorne and easily one of our favorites on the show.

Do you think Revenge was snubbed?
