Scott Disick’s RYU Restaurant Gets a Zero-Star Review — Ouch!
Uh oh. Despite a successful opening party that was featured on Keeping Up With the Kardashians, it looks like things aren’t going so swimmingly at Scott Disick’s sushi restaurant now that the cameras have left.
Scott’s recently opened New York City bar and eatery, RYU, received a stinging zero-star review from the New York Post.
The Post’s reviewer, Steve Cuozzo, complained about everything from the Japanese bistro’s bland, overpriced food to its young clientele and boring ambiance.
“RYU might have the neighborhood’s dullest design: a generic front room with big, round pleated booths and a rear zone hung with body-art images,” Cuozzo wrote. “Japanese characters on the wall remind you it’s Japanese.”
Notoriously picky Yelp reviewers have also dinged RYU for “undercooked” food and “the world’s smallest portions.”
Scott’s team seems eager to boost the restaurant’s popularity. Only four weeks after opening, the restaurant has already appeared on popular discount site Gilt City, in which customers can purchase meals for 45 percent off.
Since RYU is relatively new, we think it’s entirely possible that Scott’s shop is simply working out the kinks. Given how happy Scott looked when his longtime girlfriend Kourtney Kardashian said she was proud of him for following through with the restaurant, we really hope it can succeed. But if things completely fall through, the young dad can always lean on his oh-so wealthy (almost) in-laws!
