2012 Emmy Award Nominees: 11 Amazing Reactions to the Big News

The 2012 Emmy nominees are official, and all of the potential winners are thrilled to be included on the high-profile list of small-screen stars. From first-time nominee Zooey Deschanel to seven-time nominee (and three-time winner) Bryan Cranston, several of these talented actors and actresses aren’t holding back their giddy excitement.

Read on for 11 amazing reactions to today’s big Emmy news.

Zooey Deschanel (Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy, New Girl): "I have a nephew, Henry, who is 9 months old and he gets excited about everything. But the most exciting thing you can do is give him a wooden spoon. He loves it. I feel like a baby with a wooden spoon." (The Los Angeles Times)

Louis C.K. (Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy, Louie): “This just feels selfish.” (The Hollywood Reporter)

Aaron Paul (Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama, Breaking Bad): "I'm in my house, dancing with my fiance, and we're breaking out the champagne we got so many bottles from our engagement party. It's incredible." (The Los Angeles Times)

Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy, Veep):I really have to tell you, honestly, that being nominated never gets old. Ever. It’s like sex. It always feels good.” (The New York Times)

Lena Dunham (Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy, Girls): If my voice sounds weird, it’s because I was literally screaming, all around my house, onto my bed, down the hallway, outside my house, on the phone with everyone I know. I just was doing a big scream-fest.” (The New York Times)

Bryan Cranston (Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama, Breaking Bad): "I’m going for a run after this call. I'm blowing off some steam. I’m going to sweat and cheer loudly and probably scare children along the way." (The New York Times)

Connie Britton (Outstanding Lead Actress in a Miniseries, American Horror Story): I was shocked and this is so surreal. It’s just amazing and very unexpected this year after all my character is dead.” (Wall Street Journal)

Mayim Bialik (Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy, The Big Bang Theory): “We’re taking our boys to Legoland here in Atlanta and my best friend said she would buy me two vegan cupcakes today!” (EW)

Eric Stonestreet (Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy, Modern Family): "Never in a million years would I think I’d be an Emmy winner and three-time nominee. It'd be a disservice not to give it a proper amount of respect. But I have an athlete mentality. I only celebrate for a little then move on to the next thing." (The Los Angeles Times)

Max Greenfield (Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy, New Girl): “I’ll try and contact [Bill Hader] tonight to figure out what we’re going to do to stop these Modern Family people; they seem to win everything!” (Access Hollywood)

Dot-Marie Jones (Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy, Modern Family): "I've been doing this 21 years and I've always been the big, tough chick or a stereotypical character because of my size and to have something that actually means something to a lot of people that size has nothing to do with it, it's amazing." (The Hollywood Reporter)
