Real Housewives of New York

RHONY’s Aviva Drescher Wants to Set Up Sonja Morgan With Her “Sex Addict” Father

Sexy and single Sonja Morgan is on the top of everyone’s matchmaking list, so it should come as no surprise that newbie Real Housewives of New York castmate Aviva Drescher wants to set her up with someone.

However, it is surprising that Aviva wants to set her up with her own “sex addict” father.

In a new preview for next week’s episode (Season 5, Episode 8: “Blinded by the Wine,” airing July 23), Aviva invites Ramona Singer, Carole Radziwill, and Sonja down to her family’s condo in Miami for a little getaway. That all sounds like good, tame fun but then she reveals to Sonja that she wants to set her up with someone whom she describes as a “sex addict.”

“How do you know he’s a sex addict?” Sonja asks. “Because he’s my father,” Aviva says matter-of-factly. Cue stunned looks around the table.

“If I were Aviva I don’t think that I would go around advertising that my dad was a sex addict,” Carole says, before saying that she really wants to go to Miami now so she can witness their meeting.

“This could be really good or it could be really bad,” Sonja tells the camera. “Sex addict? Father, bad.”

While Aviva clearly likes Sonja enough to try to set her up with her own father, we do know that their friendship eventually falls apart at some point in this season. Aviva told Wetpaint Entertainment that she doesn’t get along with both Ramona and Sonja anymore. In previews for the season, there is also a scene where Aviva tells the blonde buddies that they are “both white trash, quite frankly.”

We wonder if Aviva’s matchmaking efforts were the cause of this friendship falling apart. One thing's for sure, we’ll be watching on Monday!

The Real Housewives of New York airs Mondays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo.
