Kelly Clarkson Thinks Carrie Underwood Should Judge American Idol

With the American Idol judging table virtually empty (at this point, Randy Jackson is the only judge left standing), who will step up to arbitrate Season 12?

Kelly Clarkson isn’t ready to take on the role herself. The Idol Season 1 winner, who currently mentors on ABC singing competition show Duets, told US Weekly, “I don’t want to be a judge. Mentor is more my style."

But the pop star knows someone who would fit in perfectly. Kelly thinks fellow Idol alum Carrie Underwood should replace one of the seats left behind by Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez!

Carrie is the one who “can have that face... that bluff face!” said Kelly. “She can put that on! She would be good.”

Do you agree? Would Carrie be a good addition to the Idol judging lineup? Tell us below!
