Major Changes For The Voice Season 3, According to Host Carson Daly

With top ratings and some choice Emmy nominations under its belt, The Voice must be doing something right. But there’s always room for improvement, and host Carson Daly recently revealed some of the new Season 3 twists.

In an interview with TVLine, the former TRL host talked about some changes to the show, especially in the battle round stage.

“The best way to categorize the changes is that we’re playing with some potential interchangeability,” Carson told TVLine.

The interviewer then mentioned the idea of judges being able to steal at least one battle round loser from a competing judge.

“I will unofficially not comment on that, but I think that you in particular will enjoy this season of The Voice,” Carson responded.

So if we run into another Shields Brothers vs. Erin Martin situation next season, a judge could potentially save the, ahem, more talented contestant from being kicked off the show.

We’re all for it, and that’s not the only change coming our way this fall. Apparently there will be more blind auditions, but fewer contestants come the live shows.

“We had too many people in the live rounds, and it was hard to keep track of them, and it was hard to fall in love because there were so many,” Carson said.

So when it comes time for the live shows, there will be fewer contestants and more individual performances.

Nothing wrong with that! What do you think of these new changes? Comment below!
