Chris Bukowski Tells All! What He Thinks of Jef and Emily and How Bachelor Pad Helped Heal His Broken Heart – Exclusive!
Women love a sensitive man, especially one wrapped in a tall, handsome, blue-eyed package, so it’s no wonder half of America fell in love with Bachelorette contestant Chris Bukowski this past season. And although Emily Maynard cut him right before heading to Curacao, we never forgot about him. Neither did the producers, who extended an invitation for Chris to join the cast of Bachelor Pad 3, premiering tonight. Chris chatted with us about how it feels to see Emily engaged to another man, his pick for the next Bachelor and all those women we’ve seen him hooking up with in the BP3 promos!
So a couple of weeks ago, you tweeted out that you were Team Jef. Why Jef over Arie? Honestly, I really like both Arie and Jef. But Jef and I, we became roomies during filming. I picked Jef to bunk with because, frankly, I was one of the bigger guys and he was one of the smaller ones. It made sharing rooms easier! Other than that, though, Jef seemed like he was more ready to be with Emily. Arie’s a great guy and I think he’s going to make a girl really lucky one day, but I don’t know that he was the right fit for her. Did seeing Emily and Jef together on the finale last night give you a sense of peace about the fact that she let you go? Yeah. I mean, the only person who knows who’s right for Emily is Emily. But I think she chose the right guy and I think they’ll be happy together. And I do feel better about things. If she’s happy and he’s happy, then I’m happy.
How did Bachelor Pad happen? It came quick! They asked me right after I got sent home. I jumped on it because, let’s face it, you don’t get the chance to win $250,000 too often. But it was also a chance for me to meet new people, maybe even meet the right girl…
Judging from the promo, you met a few! You were shown making out with three different women… Ha! Don’t believe everything the promo shows you – I’ll leave it at that for now. I will say that my main objective was to have fun. It was 20 people who all have something in common, something we all relate to, living together in a mansion with a pool. It was bound to be a good time.
What about casting the “Super Fans?” Do you think it was a good idea? Absolutely. It was a great idea. They came in knowing all about us, but we knew nothing about them. It created a really different dynamic from past seasons.
Now that you’re done filming for the time being, what’s it like to be back in real life? It’s pretty crazy. Real life isn’t real life anymore. People recognize me here and there and want to take pictures, which is awesome. And I’ve been traveling a lot. I’m looking forward to being back in Chicago once things settle down a bit.
There’s a rumor going around that Roberto won’t be the next Bachelor after all. Would you be interested in the job? I don’t know if the timing is right for me at the moment. In the future, though, it’s definitely something I would consider.
To be honest, I think Arie would make a fantastic Bachelor. They should ask him!
