Fred Willard Jokes About Recent Arrest, Says His Version of Events Is “Much More PG”
This dude is funny!
Despite getting arrested for “lewd conduct” at a XXX movie theater on Santa Monica Boulevard on July 18 and then fired from the new PBS series Market Warriors, Fred Willard isn’t moping. Far from it, in fact. The 72-year-old comedian took to Twitter on Monday, July 23, to joke about address the controversy.
“Wait til u hear my version; much more PG,” he writes. “& my review, lousy film, but theater would make a terrific racquetball court. Full story 2 follow.”
All this trouble for a “lousy” movie? Shame.
Although Fred lost his PBS gig, he’s still hosting Trust Us With Your Life on ABC. "I was not fired from TUWYL," he adds, "so B sure 2 watch."
Fred’s lawyer emphasizes his alleged innocence, telling TMZ, "With all due respect to the individual officer, our belief is that Fred did nothing in any violation of any law."
