Dancing With The Stars

Kirstie Alley Finishes Writing Book on Men, DWTS Partner Maks Is Afraid to Read It

This is gonna be good!

We first heard about Kirstie Alley's tell-all book last August. She said it would be about how men have influenced her life — lovers, friends, husbands, etc. She said it would be out in early spring, but the flowers bloomed and faded and the book remains unprinted. But it will be here soon. Kirstie tweeted on Monday that she's finally done writing it:

"I'M FINISHED WITHY BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'M HAPPPPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLAY TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Ha! Her Dancing With the Stars Season 12 partner, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, and his brother Val Chmerkovskiy, both tweeted her replies. “[C]ongrats beautiful :) can't wait to read it,” Val tweeted. Maks copied that, adding “Afraid to read it! :)” Kirstie’s response to Maks? “as u should b..;)”

Nice! According to, the book is called The Art of Men (I Prefer Mine Al Dente) and will be released on November 13, 2012.

Here's a snippet from the book description:

"In this full-disclosure account, Kirstie frames her life story with all the men she’s been shaped, molded, and motivated by, from Woody Harrelson to L. Ron Hubbard to her partner Maks on Dancing with the Stars. In the end, readers will find a part of themselves in this hilarious excursion into love, sex, and self-discovery from one of Hollywood’s most enduring stars."

Sounds like the perfect Christmas present for DWTS fans — especially Maks fans.
