Heatherwrote, "I for one, certainly did not see the essence taste test as a set up against Ramona. Jacques was maybe having a bit of fun teasing Ramona, but I felt the point was to promote her wine at his party and show everyone that be it an expensive white Bordeaux or a Ramona Pinot Grigio — all good wines have layers that appeal to different senses on the palette and I learned from the experience."
Not only does Heather not think it was “mean-spirited,” but she also thinks Ramona walked away looking all the better for it. “The best part was that Ramona excelled and proving to all that she knows her stuff and she had fun with it too. I certainly didn't see it as a mean prank and I don't know why Aviva chose to stir the pot.”
Of course, Heather and Ramona aren't exactly BFFs, but before you go accusing Heather of bias, you should know Sonja agrees with her. "I didn't find the wine thing such a big set up? Did you?" she wrote in her own blog. "Of course Ramona would guess the notes. But what was the set up? Am I missing something? Is Aviva stirring the pot?"
What do you think? Was it a set-up, or is Aviva making things worse by suggesting it was?
