Snooki’s Feelings Are Hurt When JWOWW Calls Her “Knocked Up” and “Creepy”
Tension is growing in Jersey City. Two guidettes have been living in close quarters — one of whom is pregnant. In Snooki & JWOWW Season 1, Episode 6: “Calm Down, Hormonal!”, the gals employ a host of couples’ therapy-tested tools to salvage both their relationship and respective sanities.
1) They follow their own Jersey maxim: “You do you, I’ma do me.” Snooki starts volunteering at a doggie day care even though she’s a cat person, and JWOWW “basically, learn[s] how to cook organic [because] that’s what [she] love[s].” Individual hobbies are healthy for couples, right?
2) They see other people. Nicole befriends a new Gay Joey at doggie daycare, making him the third Gay Joey on the show; this sample set is assuredly sizable enough to support Snooki’s statement “Maybe all the Joeys in the tristate area are gay... and that’s awesome!” JWOWW makes nice with a gal in her cooking class and even brings her along to a night out clubbing with Snooki. Despite some initial girl-hazing, it seems like the ladies just might have a third partner in crime.
3) They make special time for one another. Over lunch, the ladies reminisce on their less-than-faithful moments in love, and how they are obviously “twins” because JWOWW once cheated on a boyfriend with his best friend, and Snooki rebounded with an ex’s brother. After ensuring that all eavesdroppers were thoroughly offended by their conversation, they treated themselves to manicures, where things really started to get real.
4) They communicate. Snooki very clearly asserts that it “hurts [my] feelings” when JWOWW refers to her as having been “knocked up,” and she doesn’t see what is so “creepy” about saying the word “pregnant.” JWOWW seems constantly surprised by Nicole’s newfound sensitivity: “I am scared for the future because if Nicole’s like this in her first trimester, what’s gonna happen in the next two?” At least the ladies are letting their issues out in the open so nothing will fester below the surface and rot in the resentment. Hopefully.
However, in the final minutes of the episode, we are privy to a private tête-à-tête between JWOWW & Roger. He seems at the end of his rope and he’s alluding to lies, a lawsuit, and more lies. We’re left waiting til next week to find out what’s really going on, but the teaser was enough to indicate that, maybe, the trouble between the gals at home, is mere projection of the woes that lie outside.
