The three contenders did some good-natured campaigning on Good Morning America on Monday, doing a “spontaneous dance-off” and showing they love each other as friends even if they would love even more a chance to knock the other two out of the way.
GMA showed clips of the stars’ campaign videos from ABC.com. Kyle went the bikini route, surrounding himself with beautiful women. "I'm the all-American kid!" Sabrina looked like a serious politician behind the podium, saying she has "unfinished business” from Season 5. Carson showed off some of his never-been-that-good dance moves, including a conga line with some seniors. "Go to ABC and vote for me now. A lot!"
The trio then sat down with Lara Spencer and Josh Elliott, where Carson immediately complained that they cut off the best part of his campaign video — his little red hot pants.
When asked what they would do differently this time, Carson and Sabrina said the second time around, they would be more prepared for what DWTS expects. Sabrina said she would take more of a week-by-week approach instead of looking down the stretch to the Mirror Ball trophy. "I'm completely doing this for the fans this season,” said Sabrina, who was cut in a shocking elimination with Mark Ballas back in 2007. “They are the ones who have really pushed toward ABC for me personally, so I am dancing 100 percent for them."
Carson gave props to Sabrina, referencing their time together on DWTS: Live in Las Vegas. "She's such a great dancer, 'cause she's actually doing the Vegas show that I hosted for like three months. You can't tell that she's not one of the pros. That being said, vote for me." Ha!
Kyle said he had no idea what to expect back on DWTS Season 11, where he took second place, aka “the first loser.” He thinks he could take it all the way this time. Sabrina paid the love forward to Kyle. "He's one of those contestants that proved himself every single week. It was awesome to watch.” They leaned into each other. “I've known Kyle since he was 9 so he's like my little baby, I love him so much!" Aww!
You have to watch the video to the end to see the trio take turns doing instant dances for the audience. Carson went first, clapping and chugging and trying to give some guy a lap dance. "Oh that was exhausting!" Sabrina did some tap dancing in hugely high heels. Kyle showed off his Tootsie Roll, which you may remember from Season 11, and some booty twisting. GMA's Josh Elliott held up a 10 paddle for Kyle — with his hand over the 1. “I’m just hoping that we’re still on the air,” he joked.
Who are you voting for — Carson, Sabrina or Kyle?
