Phaedra Parks Is “So Proud” of Olympic Gold Medalist, Gabby Douglas: What Did She Say?

Phaedra Parks loves to watch television, and whether she’s curled up on Sunday nights watching a new episode of True Blood or catching up on The Voice, our girl loves to share all of her TV-centric thoughts on Twitter.

Thankfully, Phaedra has kept up her commentary throughout the first week of the Olympics!

When American gymnast Gabby Douglas won the gold medal in the individual all-around competition on August 2 (just days after winning a gold medal with the rest of the American female gymnasts in the team competition), Phaedra was quick to tweet her support.

Phae-Phae tweeted, “Go Ms. Gabby Douglas!!!! Gold again!!!! #TeamUSA #Olympics.”

“Gabby Douglas is the 1st African American to win the women's All Around in gymnastics! I'm so proud #Olympics #BlackHistoryFact,” she continued.

As Phaedra mentioned, Gabby’s extraordinary accomplishments are even sweeter for the 16-year-old, who is the first African-American and first woman of color in Olympic history to become the individual all-around champion.

Do you think Gabby deserved her gold medals?

Sound off below!
