That’s It? The Unit Pays $125 Fine for Felony Drug Possession: Report
In July 2011, The Situation’s former BFF, Johnny “The Unit” Manfre, was arrested for allegedly having the drug Ketamine on him. At the time, it seemed like a pretty huge deal, with possible jail time attached. Fast forward to today (August 3), and The Unit has reportedly struck a plea deal, paying just $125 in fines, and leaving the whole ordeal a free man.
TMZ reports that “Manfre got off with a slap on the wrist — agreeing to plead guilty to a ‘disorderly persons offense’ if prosecutors dropped the drug charge, which they did.”
“I feel blessed to have such a fortunate outcome and thank my attorney, Ray Raya, for his great work,” The Unit tells TMZ.
Getting arrested for “felony drug possession, when cops say they found Special K on his person” is arguably a much greater allegation than, say, Deena Nicole getting arrested this summer for dancing in the street while intoxicated. Do you think it’s fair that both The Unit and Deena wound up paying equivalent fines?
