Pretty Little Liars

Breaking Down the Preview for Pretty Little Liars Season 3, Episode 9

The preview for Pretty Little Liars Season 3, Episode 9: “The Kahn Game” is packed with spoiler-y images and some major face-offs. We took a closer look at the preview frame by frame to break it down, and here’s what we discovered.

Spencer and Jenna face-off. Since we know that the Liars will attend the Kahn brothers’ party, it’s safe to assume that the glimpses we see of Spencer (Troian Bellisario) and Jenna (Tammin Sursok) engaged in a verbal battle take place there. In front of a group of people (including Noel Kahn [Brant Daugherty], who has his arm protectively behind Jenna), Spencer leans forward and says to Jenna, “Why did you lie?” And then, “Answer the question.”

More info on “the video.” As Spencer publicly interrogates Jenna at the party, Jenna asks, “Where’s the video?” OMG! Which video is Jenna referring to, though? The NAT club’s secret footage of the girls in Rosewood? Or perhaps she’s talking about the video the Liars discovered on “A”’s computer, showing Jenna, Garrett (Yani Gellman), Ian (Ryan Merriman), and Melissa (Torrey DeVitto) in Ali’s room on the night she was murdered.

Emily is on the computer alone. We see a brief shot of Emily (Shay Mitchell) in her room at night, intently staring at her computer screen. This may foreshadow a scene where Emily finally decides to look deeper into Maya’s (Bianca Lawson) mysterious personal site.

Aria gets the Eye of Providence stamp. Based on the fact that Emily’s abductors had the stamp on their wrists, and Holden (Shane Coffey) says the stamp is related to the roaming parties, we’re going to predict that Jenna and the Kahn brothers were involved in Emily’s drugged-up night. If the Kahns host these roaming parties, they might also know a lot more about Maya and her disappearance. Holden did say he saw Maya at one of the parties.

Haleb make-out scene! Haleb fans, rejoice! We see Hanna (Ashley Benson) and Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) standing across from each other at night (are they at the Kahns’ party?), and Caleb suddenly lunges toward Hanna, planting a kiss on her ...

… So why does Caleb say he’s “A”? As we noted when the preview first came out, Caleb is sitting in his fancy new car, talking aggressively to Hanna as she stands on the curb. He says, “I’m ‘A’!” as Hanna’s face crumples into fear and shock.

Why do you think Caleb would say such a thing? Check out the preview and spot your own clues below.
