DWTS All-Stars: Carson Kressley Wants to Show Bristol Palin There’s Nothing Wrong With Being Gay

The Dancing With the Stars contestants fielded all sorts of questions during last month’s Season 15 All-Stars cast announcement. One memorable question was directed towards Bristol Palin, who was asked what she would say if she were paired with a gay dance partner. According to AfterElton, "she got her ire raised up a little bit but she said she loves the gays."

The site asked openly gay DWTS All-Stars candidate Carson Kressley if they should believe that Bristol does, indeed, love "the gays."

"I don't know," Carson answered. He added, "I mean, that is one of the reasons why I would love to be on the show is to try and get to know her and try to maybe convince her that there's nothing wrong with being gay and that everybody deserves equal rights and sometimes the behavior from Mom and Dad [Sarah and Todd Palin] is really kind of hateful."

It's not like Bristol has never spent time around anyone gay. She was on DWTS Season 11 along with LGBT activist Margaret Cho, who danced with openly gay pro Louis van Amstel. Carson wouldn't be an alien that just landed on her planet. Then again, it's Carson and he's kind of a crazy alien to everyone — in a good way!

Dancing With the Stars Season 15: All-Stars will premiere on Monday, September 24 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC. Check out the full All-Stars cast list here.
