Elton John Bashes Madonna Again, Calls Her a “Fairground Stripper,” Says Her Career Is Over

Elton John just cannot stop pouring Haterade on Madonna. If we didn’t know better, we’d think he was a scorned lover. But no. For Elton and Madge, it sounds like pure take-it-outside hate.

Back at the Golden Globe Awards, Elton was up against Madonna for best original song. Elton thought Mary J. Blige might win, but sniffed that "Madonna hasn't got a f--king chance." Actually Madonna won.

It wasn’t his first time publicly dissing her (and she usually returns the favor, although more gently), but he held his tongue for a little while — until a new interview with Australia’s Channel 7 (via Gawker). He said Madonna’s "career is over" and her tour "has been a disaster" — which he says "couldn't happen to a bigger c*nt."

Yep, he went there. Of course, he’s British, and they have less scandalized feelings about the c-word.

Part of Elton's angst at this point seems to be Madonna’s feud with Lady Gaga, who is the godmother to his son, Zachary.

“If Madonna had any common sense she would have made a record like Ray Of Light and stayed away from the dance stuff and just been a great pop singer and make great pop records, which she does brilliantly," Elton said, starting with a backhanded compliment as he worked up to his next diss. "But no, she had to prove that she was like... She looks like a f*cking fairground stripper. She's been horrible to Gaga.”

Madge has been called worse than a fairground stripper. And at least Elton still cares, after all these years of disliking her. He’s just expressing himself — he was born this way! Maybe each time he insults her she feels like a virgin, dissed for the very first time.

Whose side are you on in this years-long feud — Team Elton or Team Madonna?
