Jennifer Lawrence’s Next Film Role: The Adopted Daughter — and Wife! — of an Oil Baron
Katniss is getting creepy! Like, Craster's daughter-wives on Game of Thrones creepy. Although, maybe we shouldn't judge quite yet.
Variety says The Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence is set to play Lydie Marland in the romantic drama Ends of the Earth.
The film is based on the lives of Ernest and Lydie Marland and will reportedly follow the "controversial love affair between an oil baron and his adopted daughter, which destroys the empire they built together."
According to Variety, "Lawrence is attached to play Lydie, an educated, headstrong woman who was adopted as a girl by her aunt Virginia and uncle Ernest. She later becomes their adopted daughter and eventually becomes Ernest's wife. Urging him to raise workers' wages and give them unprecedented access to medical care, she earns the nickname the 'princess of the prairies.'"
We can see Jenn as a prairie princess, but it's never cool to marry the guy who adopted you, no matter what Woody Allen says.
