Ryan Murphy promised early on that he would only pick one person to be on Glee this time around, and he followed through with that decision to the end. So while Aylin Bayramoglu and Ali Stroker won’t be making it on the show, you can fully expect to see Blake in (at least) seven episodes of Glee Season 4.

Many of the writers and mentors seemed to agree that Blake has a star quality, but they worried that his Glee character wouldn’t stand out enough. Sure, he could play the All-American jock, but would there be anything more to his character.
Then Blake gave his final performance: “I’ll Be” by Edwin McCain, and much of the audience was moved to tears. Blake even pulled out a piece of poetry he’d written the night before, in an effort to show Ryan his softer side.
Do you agree with the mentors that Blake was the right contender to win the whole thing? Did his performance win you over, or were you really hoping that one of the other two contenders would win?
