Glee Season 4: Who Should Glee Project Winner Blake Jenner’s Character Date?

Blake Jenner has not been the Glee Project Season 2 winner for a whole day, and yet people already can’t stop talking about who his new Glee character should date.

Creator Ryan Murphy got the speculation started off early when he tweeted even before the finale aired, “Writing such a great role for the winner! And just wait until you see who they are dating...

So just who will Blake’s new love interest be? Blake himself tells Entertainment Weekly that he’s hoping for a chance to spend some time with Brittany (Heather Morris).

“I’m kind of thinking maybe Heather[‘s] character has gotten a little lonely. And then I come in, and maybe I don’t know that she’s with Naya and we start hitting it off,” he says. Careful, Blake. We know that Brittany herself has said she identifies as bisexual instead of lesbian, but there are quite a few Brittana fans who might get very angry with you, regardless!

It sounds like that thought has crossed Blake’s mind, too. “I’d hate to be the person that comes between them, because they’re so funny and a great couple,” he says.

Still, some sort of relationship with Britt is still something Blake says he’d really enjoy getting to pursue on the show. “That could be fun, because I am not as good of a dancer as Heather, at all, so it would be funny. Doing a dance number with her and I’m just doing some goofy dance moves and she’s just rocking out.

Yet now that so many of the New Directions’s girls have graduated, there really aren’t a whole lot of them left at McKinley this year. Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz) is always an option for Blake’s character to date, but we’re actually hoping she’ll stay together with her long-distance boyfriend, Mike (Harry Shum Jr.). Or, if Tike breaks up, perhaps Tina might decide to rekindle things with her ex, Artie (Kevin McHale).

There’s also Sugar (Vanessa Lengies). Now that Rory (Damian McGinty) is back in Ireland, we have no doubt that our favorite airheaded rich girl will be looking for some sugar — but can you really picture her with Blake? It’d actually make for an interesting dynamic. She’s energetic and a bit bossy, while he’s more laid back and chill.

Of course, we can’t forget about the two new girls coming to McKinley High this year, either. Kitty, played by Broadway vet Becca Tobin, will very likely turn out to be that “bitchy” blond dancer Glee was casting for a while back. Judging from her tweets about “dancing on the football field” and having her hair in a “perma-pony,” we’d say it’s very possible that Kitty will be a new member of the Cheerios.

The pretty cheerleader-hot jock dating combination has been done before, but it’s just so boring. We hope Glee decides to buck the common tradition and go a different route with Blake’s new love interest.

Then we have Marley, played by Homeland’s Melissa Benoist, whose character little is known about so far. Melissa describes her as “sweet” on Twitter, and we’re secretly hoping that Marley turns out to have some Rachel Berry-level vocal chops.

The only issue is, Ryan already implied that Marley might be dating Puck’s (Mark Salling) little brother, Jake (Jacob Artist). But, hey: This is Glee. What would the show be without a love triangle or two?

You’ve seen the options, now we’ve got to know: Which Glee lady do you hope Blake Jenner’s new character will date on Season 4?
