Blake Jenner on His Glee Project 2 Bromance With Michael Weisman — and Where You’ll See Them Next! Exclusive
For many fans of The Glee Project Season 2, watching the goofy friendship between Blake Jenner and Michael Weisman was one of cutest parts of the entire show. Yet even though Blake won The Glee Project and will soon be starting work on Glee Season 4, he and Michael still plan to find plenty of time to hang out together now that they both will be living in L.A.
Speaking exclusively with Wetpaint Entertainment, Blake shared that he and Michael are even working on plans to for a future collaboration! Here’s a hint: it involves music, randomness, and YouTube. (Also known as three of our favorite things ever. Just saying.)
Wetpaint Entertainment: On The Glee Project this season, you and Michael Weisman seemed to become particularly close friends. Blake Jenner: Michael and I, we just immediately clicked, and I think that he’s one of my best friends, for sure. It was so great having him on The Glee Project, and we both went ‘til the end together. We were both with each other throughout the whole process, and I’m so thankful to have him because I think we kept each other entertained. Especially when it was just girls.
Because when you’re a guy and you’re around a bunch of girls, you need another guy, you need another bro, and I was just so happy it was with him because he’s the most chill guy that you could ever meet. I had a lot of fun with him. We just played basketball outside and we’d work out together and we’d hang out together, we’d watch movies together, we’d do all that stuff. It was great to have some bro time, in the midst of all the girl stuff. We were like an endangered species, two guys.
Zach Woodlee nicknamed you two the Peanut Butter Brothers. How did that happen? In “Dance-ability” week, he saw that me and Michael were trying so hard, we're focusing so hard that we were playing with our tongues inside of our mouths, and we didn’t even know it. We did it subconsciously. Zach was like, You guys are dancing, and your tongues look like you have peanut butter in your mouth. And then he started calling us the Peanut Butter Brothers.

Add in Nellie Veitenheimer, and people have started referring to you three as Peanut Butter Milkshakes, because Nellie had that milkshake comment from Episode 4. So many different nicknames. Oh, I know! Especially, like, Blichellie, it’s mixing three people, because that’s me, Michael, and Nellie. Blichellie, and Blellie, and all this stuff. I think it’s insane. I think its hilarious.
It’s such a cute friendship. Cameron Mitchell and Damian were really good friends with Hannah McIlwain last season. You three seem to have that same kind of thing. Oh, yeah. I hadn’t even thought of that. [...] It’s a lot like that, because it’s two guys and a girl and they’re all friends. Me, Nellie, and Michael, we’re really close friends. I talk to Michael about everything. I can talk to Nellie about everything. And they know they can come to me. [...] We’re really tight, like Cameron, Damian, and Hannah.
Michael is moving to L.A. soon, right? Yes he is, and I’m so excited.
A few other contenders have recording song covers together and put them on YouTube. Do you and Michael have any plans to do that? We were actually talking about it yesterday with Aylin and Lily. I can’t wait for him to come out because we want to shoot is like funny YouTube videos. Maybe we’ll throw a cover in there, maybe we’ll sing with Aylin or something, but we really want to shoot some skits, like some weird, random skits. I can’t wait til he gets here so we can just have the time of our lives, just messing around and thinking up cool ideas for little videos. Fans should definitely be on the lookout for some covers and some skits from me and Michael.
