After a finale filled with death and a future of uncertainty, a few fresh faces might be just what Seattle Grace needs. Well, that’s assuming that Tina is going to be in Seattle. The details of the new star’s role are being kept a secret. For all we know, she’s not even a doctor. And even if she is, that doesn’t mean that she’s practicing at Seattle Grace.
Grey’s showrunner Shonda Rhimes has made it clear that not everyone is going to be staying in Seattle. Perhaps Tina will play a fresh face at a new hospital? Your guess is as good as ours.
However, Rhimes made sure to emphasize that these new roles are not permanent, and she is not replacing Lexie (Chyler Leigh) or Mark (Eric Dane).
"We hired some really lovely guest stars who are doing some really lovely guest-star stuff,” she tells TV Guide. “It boils down to the fact that all our doctors are attendings and one of the things that I want to see our attendings doing is teach, so that's what we're seeing.”
So what do you guys make of the new guest stars? How important will they be to Season 9? And which series regular are you most looking forward to seeing as an attending? Those navy blue scrubs tend to bring out a different side of people.
